Citizen Armed Robbery Glen Burnie
On December 24, 2015 at approximately 3:19 pm, officers responded to 7509 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie for a stabbing. Upon arrival the Anne Arundel County Fire Department was giving aid to the 41 year old male victim. The victim stated he was stabbed in the head by an older white male who took also his money.
The victim stated that while in the 7500 block of Ritchie Highway he was approached by the suspect. The suspect told the victim that he was recently robbed and did not have any money. The victim said he felt sorry for the suspect and took money from his pocket and gave the suspect a few dollars.
The victim then began to walk away when the victim, when the suspect pulled a knife out and stabbed the victim in the forehead. The victim said he grabbed his head and the suspect told him to give him his money. The victim asked the suspect why he was doing "this,” that he had just given him money and suspect replied that he was not going to be poor on Christmas.
The suspect told the victim if he did not give him his money that he was going to stab him again and then set him on fire. While the suspect was threatening to stab the victim a second time and set him on fire, the suspect began going through the victim’s pockets and took all of the victim’s money.
Several officers responded to the area to search for the suspect. A short time later, officers located a male subject that matched the description of the suspect. The subject detained, and was positively identified by the victim as the suspect that stabbed and robbed him.
During a search after the suspect’s arrest, officers recovered the knife used by the suspect and the money taken from the victim.

Attempted Armed Robbery Odenton
On December 26, 2015, at 10:53 pm, multiple officers responded to Factory Direct Video Outlet, located at 1634 Annapolis Road, Odenton for an attempted armed robbery. Employees stated that an unknown suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun, and announced a robbery. The clerk pepper sprayed the suspect and the suspect fled the location in an unknown vehicle. The suspect did not take any property or currency from the store. Multiple units, including canine, canvassed the area with negative results.
Suspect 1: White male, 20-30 y/o, 5'7" to 5’10”, medium build, wearing a grey sweatshirt
Robbery of a Delivery Driver Odenton
On December 28, 2015, at 12:03 am, officers responded to the Domino’s Pizza, located at 1255 Annapolis Road in Odenton for a robbery of a delivery driver. The driver advised officers that the robbery had occurred 15 minutes earlier in the 2200 block of Conquest Way, Odenton. The driver stated that an unknown suspect approached him after he made a delivery to a nearby residence. The suspect demanded money from the driver and threatened to shoot him if he did not comply. The driver gave the suspect a small amount of U.S. Currency. The suspect then fled on foot down a path toward Charter Oaks Blvd. Multiple units, including canine, canvassed the area with negative results. The suspect never displayed a weapon and no assault occurred.
Suspect 1: Black male, 40-50 y/o, 6'0", 225 lbs, bald head, grey sweatshirt, dark pants
Commercial Robbery (UPDATE) Millersville
On July 28, 2015, at approximately 10:44 p.m., officers from the Eastern District responded the 7-Eleven store located in the 400 block of Old Mill Road in Millersville for a robbery that just occurred.
Arriving officers learned that a male suspect wearing a mask and armed with an unknown object, entered the business and announced a robbery. The cashier handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who fled the business on foot. Several officers and K-9 searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
Suspect: Unknown race male, wearing a grey sweatshirt and a mask
A concerned citizen reported information to the Anne Arundel County Police Department that was later determined pertinent to the above listed case. After considerable follow up investigation, Robbery Unit detectives filed for and obtained an arrest warrant charging Leroy Carl Boffen M-W-10/01/1992 for having committed this 7-11 armed robbery.
Boffen was taken into custody on December 21, 2015 by the Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Department. Boffen was committed to the Anne Arundel County Detention Center in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
